What can you do with a Cubesat?
Lots of things, apparently, like ExoplanetSat and Quakesat.
Cubesats are wonderful entry points for understanding space tech, both for DIYers and even countries who haven’t the budget or resources for large-scale projects. Combine it with an Arduino platform and you’ve still got money left over for a good meal at Per Se.
The challenge? Getting it up and out…into space. Piggybacking on other rockets is a fine idea, but there’s limited space and a long waiting list. We’re still waiting for the next Elon Musk to build a business model around launch vehicles full of Arduino and Raspberry Pi payloads.
